Clonakilty Black Pudding has been made in West Cork since the 1880s, using a closely guarded recipe passed down through generations.
Made with oatmeal, onions, Irish beef fat, beef blood and a distinctive blend of natural spices, it has the characteristic crumbly texture and rich, savoury flavour for which Clonakilty is known.
Traditionally served as part of a cooked breakfast, black pudding is also excellent alongside bacon and eggs, served with scallops, or incorporated into stuffing and other savoury dishes.
