Christmas Terms and Conditions

1. General

We aim to excel in the quality of our produce and the service we provide. By ordering with us online you can expect the same high standards as our shop customers. All our goods and services comply with the standards required by relevant legislation. A contract of sale is made when we accept your order, under English law. By placing your order you accept these terms and conditions.

2. Christmas ordering and the deposit

Christmas ordering opens on 1 October 2026. Our advertised deadline is 16 December 2026; after that date we continue to accept orders for whatever remains available, and products are marked sold out as stock runs down.

Every online order takes a deposit of £20, paid when you place the order. The deposit is per order, not per item. The balance is paid when you collect your order, or on delivery, and is calculated on the actual weight of your meat. The total shown when you order is therefore an estimate. If you have paid a larger deposit in the shop, that amount is deducted instead.

The deposit is deducted from your final bill. If we are unable to fulfil your order, your deposit is refunded in full (see section 7).

3. Collection

When you order, choose the shop and the day you will collect. Collection is available on the following days:

Both shops are closed from 25 to 28 December and on 1 January. 20, 21 and 22 December are our quieter days and we encourage you to collect then if you can.

Please bring your order number and the name the order was placed in. Someone else may collect on your behalf if they have these. Our addresses are 69 Victoria Road, Ruislip HA4 9BH and 319 Long Lane, Hillingdon UB10 9JU.

If you cannot collect on your chosen day, call us as soon as possible and we will do our best to hold your order for another collection day. Orders not collected by close of business on 24 December, or by close of business on 31 December for orders placed for 29 to 31 December, will be treated as complete and the deposit will not be refunded.

4. Local delivery

Local van delivery is available on 20, 21 and 22 December only, to postcodes HA2, HA4, HA5, HA6, UB5, UB8, UB9 and UB10. On 23 and 24 December all orders are collection only. Delivery is charged at £10 per order and is added to the balance paid on delivery, not to the deposit. The minimum order for delivery is £40.

Someone must be at home to take delivery. Delivery is deemed made when the consignee accepts it in person or when the driver leaves your chill pack at the premises. Use the order notes at checkout for any delivery instructions. Nationwide courier delivery is not available for Christmas orders.

5. Weights and prices

Your order reserves a bird or joint within the weight range you choose. Because orders are individually prepared there is natural variation in weight, and the final balance is based on the actual weight when your order is ready. We will keep any variation within 10 per cent of the weight range you chose, and we will not accept liability for produce inside that range. Where an item is sold at a unit price, that price applies regardless of weight. If you need an item kept under a particular weight, say so in the order notes and we will do our best.

6. Allergens

Whilst we take every precaution to avoid and minimise cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that trace elements of allergens are not present. Our food production areas handle products containing milk, nuts, eggs, peanuts, cereals, soya, sulphites, celery and mustard. Allergen information for prepared products is given on each product page.

7. Unfulfilled orders

Because of the nature of our produce and limited supply, we may occasionally be unable to fulfil part of an order. If so we will let you know as quickly as possible and offer an alternative or cancellation of that item at your choice. If we have to cancel an order entirely, your deposit is refunded in full.

8. Guarantee of satisfaction

If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the quality of the produce, contact us within 24 hours of collection or delivery. All complaints are dealt with personally and promptly. Your statutory rights are not affected. Because our products are perishable we cannot accept returns or claims for goods ordered in error.

9. Non-delivery

If a delivery does not arrive when expected, contact us by phone or email within 24 hours quoting your order number and we will investigate immediately.

10. Changes and cancellations

To change or cancel your order, call us on 01895 634 046 or email chris@manorbutchery.co.uk. Changes and cancellations are accepted up to close of business on Wednesday 16 December 2026. After that date your order is being prepared and cannot be changed or cancelled, and the deposit is not refundable. A cancellation is confirmed only when we reply to you.

11. Data protection

Data we collect from you is used only for the purposes of your order and to help us offer improved services. Your details are held securely and in confidence and never disclosed to any third party without your permission, save by order of a court. Our privacy policy has the detail.

12. Returns and refunds

If you are not satisfied with the quality of any item, contact us within 24 hours on 01895 634 046 or chris@manorbutchery.co.uk and a member of our team will look into it. Refunds are issued at The Manor Butchery's discretion. We investigate every complaint individually and will find the most satisfactory resolution we reasonably can. Where a defect is claimed, the goods may need to be returned within the use-by date on the product. If the goods are in fact defective you are entitled to a replacement or a full refund, including any delivery cost and return postage.

13. Payment

The deposit is paid online by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. The balance is paid at the shop on collection, or to the driver on delivery, by card or cash. Orders can also be placed by phone or in either shop, in which case the deposit is taken at the time.
